Broan 413004 Economy 30-Inch Two-Speed Non-Ducted Range Hood, Stainless Steel

Great hood for the price. Fan is quite loud, but the build quilty and finish are fine.

Hood received promptly. It replaced an old hood of the same brand. Went in smoothly. Good product.

It took a little longer to get this than expected; however, I was notified about the delay in shipping. It’s exactly what I was hoping for, and it looks great. I would recommend this product, and I’m very happy with it. I think it’s a very good deal; it has an expensive look even though it’s quite reasonably priced.

This range hood passed my expectations in both opperation and appearance. (We had reviewed this product on line and saw the one drawback was some “noise” associated with the operation of the fan.) We mounted it on the wall (primarily) and on the side of our cabinet. It went up solidly – which was my main concern. To my surprise, the fan is much quieter than expected. The Stainless steel looks much more expensive than it actually was. Mounted according to directions puts the not so attractive off-set light (and cover) out of sight. I highly recommended this.

I purchased this after we replaced our range from white to stainless. It is a basic hood, not any louder than our old one. The finish of the stainless is really nice. We have the non vented one, so it is more for looks and a light over the stove. I haven’t seen a nicer one for less.

It works as any hood in this price range should – and I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. It’s quiet, has separate switches for the light and fan and looks like it costs more than it does. I used it in a rental apartment I own and it fit perfectly with the stainless stove. My tenants are happy and I’m happy as a result.

It’s easily installed. In my case I hung it from the bottom of the cabinet above. It’s not too heavy but it’s easiest as a 2 person job.

I was updating my kitchen, and added stainless appliances (among other things), and decided to use this hood. It is basic, but doesn’t look cheap. It is ductless only–no option for ducted operation–so it really is just for “show” more than anything else.

The stainless steel looks great with my stainless steel range, and the installation went smoothly. No surprises. Was able to install in 1 hour with little knowledge of range hoods.

The hood has integral punched stainless steel discharge grille, which is much better than a typical plastic grille, since it is easy to clean and it will not detach like my old one.

The light is very simply made and will accept fluorescent light bulb which will add a lot of light to the kitchen without using much energy.
